Package Overview
Pilgrimage sites such as Holy Mount Kailash and Mansarovar Lake are considered as one of the best among the pilgrimage sites. Besides we operate the pilgrimage tour via land and also by air to some of the great destinations in Tibet and Nepal. Mount Kailash has long been an object of worship for four Major religions. For Hindu, it is domain of Shiva, It is also the abode of samvara-a multiarmed, wrathful deity worshipped in the chakrasamvara Tantric cycle of Tibetrian Buddhism. The joins of India also reverse the mountain as the site at which the first of their saints emancipated. And in the ancient Bon religion of Tibet, Kailash was the sacred nine storeys Swastika Mountain, upon which the Banpo founder Shenrab alighted from haven. The 53 Km. Kailash circuit is the holist of all-Hindu as well as Buddhist pilgrimages and the beacon, which draws most traveler to western Tibet. It is said that a single Parikarma erases the accumulated sins of a lifetime, while 108 circumambulation will achieve Salvation.
Hindus believe Mt. Kailash to be the abode of Lord Shiva. Like many of the Hindu gods, Lord Shiva is a character of apparent contradictions. He at once the Lord of Yoga and therefore the ultimate renunciate ascetic, yet he is also the divine master of Tantra, the esoteric science that regards sexual union as the most perfect path to spiritual enlightenment. According to legend, immortal Shiva lives atop Kailash where he spends his time practicing yogic austerities, making joyous love with his divine consort, Parvati. Hindus see in Shiva a deity, who has wisely integrated the extremes of human nature and thus transcended attachment to any particular, and limited, way of being. For a Hindu, to make the arduous pilgrimage to Kailash and have the darshan (divine view) of Shiva's abode is to attain release from the clutches of ignorance and delusion.
Kailash Tour by Helicopter The trip begins by airways from Kathmandu to Nepalganj and continues to Simikot. After Simikot, we again make charter helicopter flight to Hilsa and drive to the Lake Manasarovar across widely spread open spaces of the Tibetan Plateau. On 7 days tour, trekking is required only during the 3 day Kailash parikrama when one has to cross the 19,500 ft high Dolma Pass. Then we make our most attractive trip to Mt. Kailash and follow the pathway across huge dry plains for Nepalese border lies to the south. Finally, we take the trip back to Kathmandu. This is truly the trip of a lifetime with stunning scenery and cultural highlights.
