 “Amazing & Believable Halesi Mahadev” Among the most ancient and holiest places of Nepal, It is very popular temple is situated at the top of a small hill inside a beautiful cave.It is call second Pashuaptinath for Hindu. The image of the god is inside the cave, which is full of natural beauty.It is also a kind of pride for the people living there it is also famous as other temples like the Pashupatinath and Lumbini etc. even internationally.This lies in 4th remote hilly region and is believed to be in existence since 6000 years. Halesi (Maratika Cave) The place is not artificial creation it’s a gift of nature. There are mysterious caves, which are believed to be the three eyes of lord Shiva, the first cave of Temple of lord Shiva which is called as Haleshi Mahadev, in the second cave of Nandi The cave knows Basaha Gupha. The base of the statue is full of water above the statue in the cliff there is an image of cows’ udder from which white drops fall on to the statue. It is believed that Kamadhenu (Cow in the heaven who can fulfill the desires wishes if asked) is worshiping the god by offering her milk. And Third Cave of Bhairav. Dharmadwar, Papdwar,Swarga Dwar, Dharma Dwar,Ghoptay Dwar,Among others are the religious and tourist sites of the area. During the festival of Maha Shivaratri, Bal-Chaturdashi, Ram Nawami there is huge fair at this temple.

People from different places of Nepal and abroad come to this place for worshipping Halesi  Mahadev. Now a day it has become easier to visit this temple as it is considered as a non tourist pilgrims trekking trips in Nepal. Halesi is a common pilgrimage site for the Hindus, Buddhists and Kirantis.It has become easy to get this place through Schedule flight, by land and Charter Helicopter .
